Safe Moving During Covid-19
Dear customers,
With growing global concerns around COVID-19 (“coronavirus”), I want to provide you with an update on our response to date and our commitment to you moving forward. Our business remains open as we are listed as part of the essential services. The health, safety and well-being of our employees and customers is our top priority and we are following the lead of Canadian public health authorities at this important time. The Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the current public health risk associated with corona virus as high. Therefore we have implemented important safety measures and taking every possible steps to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our team. We apologize for any inconveniences and thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this unprecedented time.

Moving Boxes
Self serve Box pick up and Drop off will be closed during this period. Instead, we will offer a discounted delivery/pick up service starting April 1st. The discounted delivery/pickup fee is $30 (instead of $75) each way. The date for the discounted delivery/pickup is every Saturday except for the last Saturday of the month. We'd also like to extend the free rental period from the current 2 weeks period to 3 weeks. If you want to schedule a drop off or pick up other than our scheduled Saturdays, the regular fee of $75 each way would apply.
In addition to the safety measures we have in place, as always, we do not hire temp workers or day laborers to ensure the highest quality, safety and security. Our crew members work in a small regular team, and have very minimal contacts with the general public as each team only serves one or two customers a day. Work safety
- Introducing enhanced cleaning protocols of our trucks with alcohol sprays and bleach at the end of each job. The movers will also be disinfecting the elevator and any door handles that they will be in contact with.
- Providing complimentary brand new mattress protectors (one per mattress) and complimentary plastic wrap
- Requiring our movers to stay home if they have any sick symptoms (so far there has been none thankfully)
- As a preventive measure to protect our movers, our movers will be wearing face masks and gloves while working.
- To protect yourself and others, we ask that anyone who is feeling unwell to reschedule their moves so that together we can ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone. If you have a completion date that you must move out of your place by, please book your move at least a week before your completion date.
- For apartment buildings, we must have full access to a reserved elevator and be able to lock the elevator for the entire time during the move without having to share it with other residences in the building. If your elevator cannot be locked, please call us immediately and let us know.
Social Distancing
- Vancouver Council approved special measures to fine individuals and businesses failing to follow safety measure of social distancing which includes up to $1000 fine for individuals and $50,000 for businesses. So we have implemented the following protocols to ensure the orders are followed. - At this time, the order prohibits you for having friends or relatives to help you with your move other than people in the same household. If you need additional help, we provide a full moving services including packing, moving, junk removal, move out cleaning and unpacking. So if you need extra help, please let us know.
- Our movers are friendly but at this time they are required by law to stay at least 6 feet away from our customers. Therefore they must follow the new protocols listed below:
- Contract: Before the work begins, the mover will mark down the starting time and leave the contract on your counter and walks away, please read the contract and sign at Xs.
- Communication: Our movers are experienced and skillful. They work efficiently without supervision and direction. If you need to communicate with the movers, please call them or talk to them at a safe distance.
- Once the job is done, the mover will mark the ending time and calculates the total on the contract. Please check the bill and sign at the X.
- Payment Methods:
- Credit Card: You may pay by credit card. There is a 3% service charge for credit card payment.
- E-transfer: If you'd like to pay by E-transfer, after signing the contract, please e-transfer the amount with your phone. Leave your phone beside the contract with the amount, recipient and reference number shown. The mover will need to record the reference number of the transfer. If you'd like to tip the movers, feel free to add it to the E-transfer. 100% of the tips will go to the movers and greatly appreciated.
- Cash: After signing the contract, please leave the cash on the contract.
